Dealing with emotions:-

How to deal with our emotions? Big problem! Although we have grown older - beyond the 'teenage', we more often fail to grow beyond 'teenage' mentally. You know, our body grows in a particular sequence. In the first seven years, the physical body grows but the intellect does not grow; then up to fourteen years, the intellect grows. The period from 14 to 21 years is for emotional maturity. So the general belief is that you become physically mature, then intellectually mature and finally, you become emotionally mature..

However, many do not grow to that maturity at all. Lack of emotional maturity is always worrying about your emotions - feeling as though you are a victim of your own emotions: "Oh! I feel like this! I feel like that! What to do?" What will you do? Who cares about your feelings? Why do you worry so much about your feelings? Your feelings keep changing. Sometimes you feel bad; but the bad feeling doesn't stay with you forever. It changes and you start feeling good once again; but even that 'good' feeling does not stay forever. Nobody can feel bad or good ALL the time; the good and bad feelings come like waves. You can't stop a wave that has already arisen; nor can you make a wave rise just like that. Just as waves come and go, clouds come and go, so also emotions come and go. Waves of different emotion come. And they disappear. But we make it such a big issue: "Oh, I feel good! Oh, I feel bad! I feel this way, I feel that way, nobody cares for me…" - all these complaints keep bombarding our minds. This emotional garbage is so useless; and it is also a sign of emotional immaturity.

Emotional maturity, intellectual maturity, physical maturity; you need all these three 'maturities' to be a complete personality. Are you sharp and focused? Are you interested in learning and in growth? If yes, you have matured intellectually. And once you have matured intellectually, do not let emotional immaturity cloud your intellect. By the age of 21, you're supposed to be emotionally and physically strong, and intellectually sharp. Hence, you acquire the right to vote, because you are supposed to be mature - an adult. But this seldom happens!

But what is the big deal about your feelings? I tell you, bundle them up and throw them into the ocean! Once you are rid of your 'feelings' you can be happy, in good spirits. Just examine why your spirits go down? More likely than not because somebody said something stupid to you. And why did they say a stupid thing? Because they had some garbage they needed to throw out; and you were there, ready to catch it. And once you have caught it, you hold on to it so passionately! Come on! Wake up! Don't let your smile be snatched away by anybody!

In this world, everything cannot be perfect all the time. Even the best, the greatest of actions, performed with the noblest of intentions, will have some imperfections. It is but natural. Unfortunately, the tendency of our mind is to grab the imperfection and hold on to it. And in the process, we end up making our moods, our minds imperfect. Our souls reel with this nonsense.

It is imperative to get out of these cycles, and to become strong and courageous from within. And that which gives you that strength, that courage, that smile and that helps you to become unconditionally happy and loving is what is called spirituality.

Life is a package of surprise gifts.

Thank You STAR!

Hey Friends,

With reference to my dear iLander friend Star Trekker(startrekker.rediffiland.com)’s latest blog i.e Animal Sense, I also realize that how animal and tribe are step ahead to us.

We so call intelligent creature always treat them as secondary and many times even neglected them. We don’t even feel to listen or notice the singles they give us for natural disasters coz we are so busy with our life. No time for noticing singles, we even don’t have time to smile at the person living next to us.

As STAR wrote in her blog about tuning with animal, I must say that we don’t have any tuning with mother nature or even we are not tuned with our close one for many times.

I request & pray that all of us would at least try to tune with ourself, nature and the people living around us……..am I asking something impossible? Let’s try to get TUNE!!

Have nice time

Take care n always SMILE

Love,

Vibhs

The real miracles

Hello friends,

I am lucky enough to have good friends who used to send me nice quotes and thoughts to increase my knowledge…….today again I received one article and from that I selected one thought to share here.

“Be wise enough to know that you don’t know anything, Be foolish enough to believe in miracles.”

Isn’t it really contradictory but really really true, I mean when I look at my life till now I wonder a lot…….miracle is not something that one fairy will come and blessed me but’s it’s a miracle of support, care and love of the people around you. Being the intelligent is not the priority of life…. See the following short philosophy…….

Charles Schultz Philosophy and Now Mine!

The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the "Peanuts" comic strip. You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just read the e-mail straight through, and you'll get the point.

 1. Name the five wealthiest st people in the world.

 2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.

 3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America pageant..

 4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.

 5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.

6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolade s and certificates are buried with their owners.

Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.

2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.

3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.

5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

Easier?

The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care. "Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia "(Charles Schultz)

And the care the normal people around you, who make the real miracle in your life, their love and support to you in any condition will make you stronger enough to fight with any situation and when you come out of that phase you will realize the miracle.

This is all what I wanted to share with you all…….with you coz you are among those who made miracle in my life.

Thanks

Love,

Vibhs

Understand - The NIRVANA

Dear Friends,

On the coming occasion of Maha Shiv Ratri I would like to share grate spiritual Gyan I come across…even if you are not religious this is more on spiritual side and show the path of Devine and Nirvana.

Love, Vibhs

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is referred to as "Athmashtak" or "Nirvana Shataka" but is commonly
known as "Shivoham Shivoham...." composed by Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya. Adi Shankaracharya reaffirms that the root cause of birth and death is ignorance. Once this ignorance has been dissolved and no longer existsone can reach the Sahasra-Chakra. One can look out towards the cosmos and some of the thoughts and feelings come to Shanakaracharya are expressed in the song where each stanza ends with "........ Chidananda Rupah Shivoham. Shivoham- The Shiva in All "

To teach the unity behind the appearance of multiplicity, to help realise the Adwaita (non-dual nature of existence), Adi Shankara, the great expounder of the Advaita school of thought. One day, Shankara was seated in meditation on the banks of the river Ganga.  Suddenly, he exclaimed, "Lord! I am yours; but, surely, you are not mine." His pupil, Thotakacharya was by his side then; he was astonished at this statement, which, according to him, went against the Advaitic principle. So, he asked him how he could ever declare any distinction between you and I. Shankara replied, "The waves belong to the ocean; but, the ocean does not belong to the wave. The wave is the ocean, but the ocean is not the wave." The main point of this argument is, the elimination of ego, the elimination of one's identification with the body and its needs, certifiable through the senses. For, one gets joy when these needs are fulfilled or grief when they are not fulfilled, anger when something comes in the way, pride when one wins
over that opposition.

To eliminate the ego, strengthen the belief that all objects belong to God, and that
all are holding them on trust. This would prevent pride; it is also the truth. Then,
when one loses something, one would not grieve. God gave it and later God took
away. Of course everyone hears almost all philosophers propose this course and
advise this reaction. But very few follow the advice themselves. This is the biggest problem; saying something but practicing quite the opposite, denying in practice what one asserts as precept.

NIRVANA SHATAKA (Atmashataka)

Nor am I the five organs of action (which are speech/mouth, hands, feet, reproductive and rectum), I am the fortunate, joyful, supreme being who is the very emblem of truth, knowledge and eternal bliss. Love!!

Here is one more V’day blog from me…….isnt it really wonderful message to understand LOVE.

Love can only Blossom in Freedom. When freedom is restricted, love suffocates. You need to be free. Often love stifles, when you are in love or you love somebody, you feel stifled because you are obliged. When there are so many obligations that you need to fulfill, than this obligation became load on your head and you get the added responsibility not to hurt the people you love and who you love you. In a subtle sense, this take freedom away and slowly demands start arising in you. The moment demand arises in you; know that love is on the death- bed. Love is in oxygen chamber and it does not live very long.

Demand destroys love. Freedom is essential.

So wether in the world, in religious or in spiritual matters, follows love rather than the rules.

LOVE.

Valentine’s Day, A day to express your love to your love ones. For me all of you are part of my life and I love you all for being there to read, listen, support and appreciate me. I feel comfortable to share my feelings on the iLand. We all are good friends and “EACH OF US IS A VITAL THREAD IN ANOTHER PERSON'S TAPESTRY, OUR LIVES ARE WOVEN TOGETHER FOR A REASON”… that reason may be any but “One of the best things to hold onto in this world is a friend.’ So I wish you all my lovely friend “Happy Valentine Day”

Never Give Up

Hi friends,

Greetings from freezing Ahmedabad…….here we are having so much cold which is unusal for the city. Winter is making me lazy to write I realize that  wrote last on 23 Jan…..and at the same moment I recd one nice SMS,

The moment you think of giving up, think of the reason why you held for so long. “DO OR DIE” is an old saying. “DO IT BEFORE YOU DIE” is the latest saying.

I keep this blog open to react/take action on such a wonderful “Never Give Up” attitude quote. It’s our own responsibility to maintain such attitude in life.

I wish you all the best and also to myself that I should also follow it.

Love n regards,

Vibhs

P.s: Give me hot masala tea yaar my fingers frizzed again J!!
